Event Description

The Common Core State Standards adopted by Ohio are making waves.  Do you understand what adopting Common Core means for Ohio children?


Our FREE Common Core event will be held to give the pros and cons to the State adopted standards. 


You will have an opportunity to listen to our panelists discuss the benefits and concerns of the Common Core State Standards, as well as answer questions from the audience. 


Current panelists:

  • Emmy L. Partin - Director of Ohio Policy & Research, Thomas B. Fordham Institute.
  • Emmett McGroarty - American Principles Project - Executive Director, Preserve Innocence Project
  • Joy Pullmann - Research Fellow, Education, The Heartland Institute; Managing Editor, School Reform News 
  • Heather Crossin - Co-founder of Hoosiers Against Common Core
  • C. Todd Jones - Ohio Board of Education, President of Assoc. of Independent Colleges & Universities of Ohio
  • Andrew O. Brenner - Ohio State Representative, vice-chair of the Education Committee.


We are still looking for qualified speakers on both sides of the issue.
